Angelina Café Singapore

Bonjour! Bienvenue chez Angelina Café!

The much anticipated Angelina Café opened its door in Singapore on Friday 29 May 2015. Fortunately for me when we went there on Tuesday 02 June 2015 for dinner we weren’t greeted with massive long queue (which we heard from the staff due to the long weekend they had super long queues and the patrons were all disgruntled from waitin) and the lady in charge was able to let us pick a table we like for the night.

We wanted to order a bottle of champagne but were informed that they are still waiting for their liquor licence and thus in the interim no alcohol can be sold. To maintain the freshness and the quality of their pastries only a selection of pastries are made with limited quantities during the soft launch.

It was hard to decide what to have for dinner as everything on the menu sound so tantalizing, after much deliberations we decided on…

Pan Fried Scallops ~ Black venere rice, shellfish cream SGD 29.00

Penne, Spicy Tomatoo Concasse ~ roasted vine-cherry tomato, goat’s cheese SGD 22.00

Steamed Black Cod Fillet with Shellfish ~ seasonal vegetables SGD 35.00

For me a meal is never complete without dessert….

Tentation ~ Sweet pastry, caramel with passion fruit, raspberry compote, smooth Madagascar vanilla cream

I like the overall ambience – makes you feel you have transported to a Parisian Cafe in the heart of Paris. The service staff are extremely friendly and attentive.

Don’t be surprise you might just bump into me as this is one place I will be hanging out quite often!

Angelina Cafe is located at Capitol Piazza #01-82, 15 Stamford Road, opens daily from 11am – 9pm (last order 8:30pm)
